Foodie Updates
Hm I forgot when I ate some of the foods, but my stomach certainly went on a gastronomical adventure this month... *sniffs at burnt wallet*
Anyway on the day I took MC, also coincidentally the day after payday *sniggers* I went IMM with Mommy dearest and ate late lunch at the Wan Chai Hongkong Cafe. Bad bad service but yum yum food. Price didn't increase (I think) but the proportion dropped... Ah... Inflation is bad for stomach... Mom had the Yin-yang dessert (almond paste + black sesame)/ Not warm enough and it's almond so I can't eat it *sob* Of course I ordered the Chicken Mushroom Cheese Baked Rice.

Mom trying to do "latte art" on her dessert

Completed "Yin-yang art" Er... very abstract...
Met Parrot once long long ago and we had dinner at Sushi Tei. I really think the branch at Taka is prolly an "Express" branch (you know, cheap versions of the original delicacy but less tasty, served fast food style) cos
1. The food sucks
2. Service sucks
3. Very very small
4. The location was odd. Opposite a taxi stand, loads of "nice car views"
5. Yes, the Otoro was cheap. But guess what? They served Maguro (normal tuna) instead, it's not even a Chutoro (2nd grade tuna)

Identify the fish. It's really a no brainer trying to differentiate Otoro from normal Tuna no?

My Oyako-don. Just another normal Donburi

Parrot's Tempure Soba set.

Er... Have you seen any Ebi Tempura that's THIS SMALL??? Omg...
Then last Sunday Parrot and I had cake at Secret Recipe. Although the 'Award Winner' was their Marble Cheese Cake, I really felt the 'Royal Chocolate Cake' (2 reasons why I ordered it, Royal and Chocolate) tasted better. Maybe I'm not one for chewy base. Goig to try their Chocolate Strawberry Cake soonish *wallet countdown to self-destruction*
Yesterday Jaime dropped by, and we talked about loads of stuff, you know, girls talk. Stay out. Muhahahahha. Went to Ikea to do some of her storage shopping. And she tidied my desk! Muhahaha. Ate at Ikea cos their Chicken Wings smells so damn good. Didn't get those in the end, but our dinner ain't half bad. Check it out:

We both had the Dory Fillet with Cream. I ate finished the veges ok. The cream sauce was damn good. Made us sleepy tho... The Dory tasted weird?

Pancakes~~ Hmm~ Thin chewy buttery goodness. I suspect they glazed one side with maple syrup when frying. Nice!

Jaime donated her shelf to me. Nice timing cos I expanded my Kyoto food collection recently... And my table's in a mess... Tho not as messy as a certain bird's... *cough*
I think I ate something else too, but forgot what. But yea no piccys, else I'd definitely remember them...
