Foodie updates
Ate alot of good stuff lately... Waistline is expanding... *sob* Doesn't help that this Wed is TEH CHALET before the guys go off and get healthy for 2 years *sniggers* OMG what if I can't fit into the diving suit on Sunday??? *faints*
Hm anyway, last last Saturday I went out with him and ate yummy Ramen. Even yummier than Tampopo.

Yummy spicy ramen with melt-in-your-mouth char siew and boiled salted egg
Then last Friday went to Aji-tei with him and ate Kaisen Bento. Except the Kaisen Bento isn't as appealing as Botan's... Need to bring him there to eat some day. And Botan killed all my interest for any sort of food. I think... nowadays no appetite. Oh well =/

He had an Unagi and egg set. Looks nice and is kinda nice tasting too

We had this macha parfait set. It tastes sweet at first and bitter at the end... Very philosophical, no? Anyway I'm gonna bring him to M.O.F for parfait... Love the milky taste of it
Last Sat Elmo and I went to CozyCot's 7th Anniversary Private Launch Party. I kinda expected it to be posh and glam and stuff, cos it's "Holy Grail" and they had a best dressed competition as well as some tai-tai products on exhibit. It turned out to be like some Expo fair for random beauty products. Ok so there is Stila and Shiseldo, Paul&Joe were supposed to be there, but they weren't. Maybe they are just sponsors *inspects gift bag reportedly worth $300* Um, I see NOTHING useful in there, and seriously, spamming brochures doesn't mean the bag would be worth that much... But oh well at least we met this nice lady from Revive, who convinced Elmo and I to try out some of their services (which I will not disclose) for destressing, etc. Seriously felt entering the event was a waste of time. BUT! The venue was a Parkview Square, the Gotham looking building at Bugis. It's really cool, and quoting Elmo "It doesn't feel like part of Singapore" once we stepped in. Oooo-ness

Very palace-y feely... I want this for my balcony... *daydreams a Princess' dream*

I took a photo of Elmo taking a photo of the building here but if I uploaded it she will kill me and then refuse to eat with me... So yea, best not to upload. But if you bribe me I *might* let you take a leettle peeky. But you musn't tell Elmo. OK?

Nice bird. Ok, I have NO IDEA what bird this is suppose to be, but it's DEFINITELY NOT a parrot (nor is it MY parrot)

Tall and majestic. An out of place building in the midst of short old buildings.
Maybe they deliberately place it here. I mean, if it was right smack in the middle of CBD would anyone notice? Probably not. Anyway it reminds me of a grand ol' Victorian dame. The kind that wore corsets with gold trimmings and lace bonnets and tries to feed you Castor oil if you ever fall sick... in a majestic elegant way of course. No wonder the Victorians keep dying of illness...

Random statues of Lincoln, Pablo and some dead musicians.
Sorry, I don't have an appreciation of randomly putting bronze statues in a feeble attempt to glorify the place. I like simple stuff. Somehow I think the architect was overdecorating... I've seen enough tarty artworks for this lifetime. SG is too full of meaningless extravagant designs that makes no sense.

Very Rome. I remember trying to build that in SL. Doesn't look as grand *emo* Let's go Greece Elmo! I wanna see the pretty white buildings sitting next to the breathtaking blue sea!
After escaping Elmo's stalker (some random Cheena salesgirl trying to sell some shady dark rings removal product who claimed I was getting wrinkles in future - ok, who wouldn't - and tried to block the exit) We went off to Bugis Junction where I bought a pair of pink (yes PINK, I'll pink you people to death one day, I swear) ballet flats (yes shoes. And yes it hurts, needs seasoning) Did I say flats? Yea flats. I've sworn off buying heels/wedges anything above 1 inch (for now... Until my feet stops wobbling) And of cos we had M.O.F for dinner. Ah the addiction... We even sat next to the window!!!

Nice tea-set. Not so nice tea

The moon in my cup!!! Haha nah, is just the really cute hanging lamp above our table

The lamp

I had char siew miso ramen. Char siew was hard to chew... I prefer the one I had with him... =)
We didn't order the coverted Macha Parfait. I had a feeling I would be too full. I was right. Elmo ordered a Potato seafood salad instead. It was cold, but gave a nice warm feeling. Definitely happy food

Really nice and crispy Salmon cutlet maki~
Then yesterday I went with him to queue for some Spore promo thingy. At Funan no less. Met up with Peaceful and Hammy. Ahhhh miss the guys. Will most prolly turn up for chalet after all. How could I miss it, especially when Hammy glared (yes glared, 180 degree change from good ol' Hammy) at HRH when I mentioned I *might* not turn up. Guess what we got for 2 hours of queuing? Prostreet Xbox306. Wheeness ="= Lucky I turned up to accompany him. Time not wasted after all.
Afterwards we went on the ritualistic toy shopping at CSC. But he was well-behaved, and didn't buy any toys. I must really think of something to do... Else I will seriously burn that boring building down. I like toys, but I don't wanna go there every week... Did I mention I get bored easily? Where do couples go anyway? I don't wanna choose a random movie and get him bored to death (Make it Happen is seriously boring, only a handful of dance sequence. I rather glue myself to the TV watching 'So you think you can dance?')
There was this shop selling random cute limited edition super expensive stuff at PS, and I took this from the shop display:

Retardly cute (minus worrywart and emo) Elmo with best pal Cookie Monster. He needs a cookie...
Then we trooped back home after a not very healthy dinner, making a random stop at AMK to sell off the XBox 360 games and meet his mom who was working there.
And here I am, after an eventful weekend, suffering from post-happy blues... I really hate Mondays. Miss you, my lazy dear
