My baby Hammies
Ok, I guess it's about time I updated on the lil bundle of joys. Mikuru is super protective of them, until now I haven't really touched them.. But one crawled into my palms while I was feeding them... Hehe so cute.
Let's see, 9 were born on 12/7/08, only 5 survived, 1 of them grew super fast, it's up and running already when the rest were still rolling about. It's prolly male...
Here they are:
Proud parents: Mikuru and Black Jack. Proud Granma: Princess Teddy (not in picture) I always thought Mikuru looked sneaky in this picture... Like she's gonna trip BJ by running the other direction of the wheel or something...
Took this last week, approx 1 week old. Abit of fur on them, about 3-4 cm long
Hiding in their new home. Wonder if they'll suffocate, cos I saw Mikuru sitting on top of them. Prolly feeding time. But so cute~ Very furry now, grew a little bigger but still skinny. Maybe next week they can start feeding on solids. Then Teddy can feed them~ Whee~
Manage to catch the big one eating and sneaked him out for photo shoot. Calling it Lil Piggy cos it ate alot, hence its size. Also cos Parrot suggested naming one "Xiao Zhu" (little pig). No way am I giving them chinese names though ="=
Managed to sneak out Lil Piggy's siblings too. One doesn't seem to have any eye slits... Maybe it'll have them in a few days or something. Prolly covered by fur. They are way tinier in comparison. They couldn't get into the food bowl, so I used a tissue, picked them up and dropped them in. First contact! Whoo! Hopefully Mikuru doesn't mind...
Saw one drinking from the bottle. So thrilled~ Gah, so excited now. Also kinda guilty cos I keep coming home late, and couldn't watch every itty bitty moments. Mikuru gets annoyed when I sit outside the cage for too long. She also gets annoyed when I came home too late to play with her... *stares at hamster bites on hand* BJ and Ruru however, seemed extremely pleased I stopped bothering about them. Guys... always wanting their own space... *sigh*
I noticed only 2 of them had Mikuru's silver fur, while the rest has BJ's black stripes. Aw, was hoping for light brown or white. Hehe guess I was just being silly
