牡丹
Finally went there with ubd~~ and Donut too. I'm so full right now, so I'll let the pictures do the talking, and you do the mouth-watering. I'll prolly complain tomorrow. Oh wait. I'm not gonna spoil tomorrow~ Cos it's LaSalle~ And Waraku~ Lala~ *happily ignores wallet doing a countdown to self-destruction*

The view in the morning. The weather was really nice, thus I took a pic of the view. Maybe cos I was going to dinner with ubd, hence my random happiness

On the way to Botan. Can't believe it's so near China Square...

Nice sky. Ok, I'm really just spamming photos cos I finally CAN

Love the angles on the building. Altho people doing F1 project might get sick of buildings like these...

The interior of 牡丹。 ubd actually wanted to sit in front of the chef's counter, but I was shy... So we stuck here, and didn't get to watch TV. Oh well, there's always next time. Love the cosy feel.

Look! Mine has tea leaves floating on it! Yummy~ It's just normal Hot Tea. See how much I anticipated this dinner?

Oolong Hai. Oolong + shochu. Really nice. Guess who made this order? Lol

My meal. Tempura Sashimi Set. It's soooooo delicious! Nicer than Waraku somehow. But I guess Waraku wasn't traditional, so I can't compare

The Sashimi. Fresh and nice and juicy and succulent. All you ever wanted in a Sashimi

My tempura. Was not that bad, light and crispy, and the dip was nice.

My side dish. Egg + eel. OISHII!!! Words can't describe. The only problem I had was the problem I always had with eels. The Bones

ubd's Kaisen bento. Supposed to be assorted raw fish buried under ebi roe, but she switched all to salmon, and the chef gave her salmon belly. It was DELICIOUS!!! The white and brown paste and yam and peanut paste respectively. You're supposed to mix the 2, and then mix it with the rice. but ubd didn't, so I have no idea how it tastes.

Donut's Tonkatsu Sashimi Set. The chawanmushi was AWESOME! The stock was very fragrant, the egg had a nice texture, even though there wasn't much ingredient inside. 1 fishcake, 1/4 of a shitake mushroom, a piece of chicken. And the miso soup was tasty! Not your run-of-the-mill diluted swamp water. This was the real deal. There was even Tofu inside! How long has it been since I saw tofu in my soup? Handmade to boot!

The store front. Authentic Japanese shop. Gonna come back again soon. I even decided what I'm gonna have on my next trip.
Let's go again~~ Maybe when I get my next pay. I spent about $30? Not sure if the Oolong Hai was included. I also bought a couple of stuff from Body Shop, and I'd like to urge you girls out there to get yourself the Body Scrub. i got mine in strawberry, cos I didn't like the other 2. The minute I used it, the scent triggered my already stimulated happy cells and made me feel happier and relaxed. Plus the scrub was like a nice gentle massage which I needed badly. And after the bath, my skin feels smoother. And I only paid $12.90 for it. I also bought this White Musk Blush that smelt very... um.. romantic? haha, not sure how to describe it. Although I love my Kenzo Woods better, this scent is easy on my nose, lasts long and calms me down. It's not cloyingly sweet (Christian Dior Poison) or expensive smelling (Estee Lauder Dazzling Gold). But it smells elegant, so I can take it anywhere.
Whee~ LaSalle tomorrow~ Hope to meet nice people there.
