Yes, that's my current obsession, besides cakes, babydoll dresses. Why? Cos babydoll dresses are so cute, and if it's those empire waist thingy with flaired lowerhalf, chances are, it won't cling to my tummy. Uwahhahahaha. I need clothes to hide the sin of cake-indulgence.

Speaking of cakes. I baked this yesterday:

Do not eat this with fresh strawberry... This cake is solid and moist and super sweet, can't be eaten in the same mouthful with fresh juicy strawberries else the cake will become some mushy sour mess... You have been warned. Strawberry jam, strawberry cream, caramelised strawberries, fine by me, if you like super sweet stuff... Alright, here's the recipe, it's my granma's, but I think she won't mind me sharing:

Ingredients:

10 eggs (yea, high cholestrol, so don't make this everyday)

500g sugar (I used caster, but anything is fine. You may lower it as you please, below 300g is bland eggy cake.)

500g flour, sieved (duh)

*makes plenty. use a 20cm cake tin in case.

First up, cream the eggs and sugar, til it looks something like this:

Next, fold in the flour.

After that, bake it in a preheated oven at 150C for about 30 mins. To get your cake looking like mine try sprinkling sugar in a cross pattern on top of your mixture. Or, halfway baking, cut a cross on top of your cake. Once it's cooled, serve.

Simple? Haha. you can use this as a sponge alternative, though it doesnt last as long (about 2 days max). Resteaming after two days is ok by itself *imagines steaming cream cake* *shudders* anyway, to further enjoy this recipe, I suggest (if you get diarrhea it ain't my prob) pairing this up with bitter black coffee for a taste balance, or a slice of life (whatever emo philosopher thingy you can come up with), or if you think this recipe isn't sweet enough, pair it up with either of these:

I highly recommend the latter, cos the aftertaste is stronger, and less sweet then the first one.
