Doctor's orders
... to eat fruits only for all my meals until my rash has subsided. Until now, no one noes wad the hell am i allergic to... DOTS!!
Lessee, dis trip was suppose to b FUN, cos is oni me, mum, dad, Aunt Jo, Uncle Joseph, and Uncle Mike. Yea. I expected tiring, but not sick!
Plane touched down at 12 am +, den we went to bed ard 1am ++ den 4am wake up go to dis morning market. MBK fans eat ur heart out, cos this place carries the goods sold der, and are even cheaper. Bought some stuff oni, cos i too slpy.
Den after that, we went for breakfast back at the hotel, den set off for
some temples. When we reached the Grand Palace, dis guy in white told us the Palace will oni be opened from 1-5om, cos it's Buddha's Day. We were kinda shocked but tt guy said he worked for the Palace, and he told us to visit some place before coming back. so we heeded his advice, cos he pointed out dis 'Lucky Buddha' tingy, and flagged down some tuk tuks for us. The ride was very thrilling, cos the driver is kinda daredevilish. my 1st time riding one too~ so fun! den we reached the temple, looks v nice. Den this 'businessman' came and tel us a long 'Buddha story' and this place which sells nice sapphires for my dad to buy my mom. So we kinda suspected dis guy might b a con. But we ignored him, cos we dun haf extra time to visit tt place anyway. Then we headed to this so-called 'government centre' tt guy in white told us about. In the end, it was tt shop tt 'businessman' told us abt. V smooth trick rite? then, the drivers said dey needed to collect sth, so dey brought us to this place tt sells branded goods. After tt, Aunt Jo was fuming, so she said "Skip the Standing Buddha, we go back Grand Palace". When we reached der, the sign said, "Open daily 8-30am to 3-30 pm". Aunt Jo was fuming mad and scary... I spotted this other sign when i went to borrow a shirt (tt temple doesnt allow sleeveless) tt said" "Dont trust strangers, Dont trust tuk tuks , Dont trust Lucky Buddha" how cld dey use religion to con us? tt's so evil! if we relly went to the Palace after 3.30 it'll b a trip wasted, cos the main purpose was to pray (for them, not me)
After Grand Palace, we walked all the way to "Sleeping Buddha", a personal favourite of mine, cos in terms of comfy posture we are so alike *grins* My feet hurts and im burning hot. at first, i tot it was sunburn, but only my leg itched like mad. Then we went for lunch, and i ate some yummy stuff, plus seafood (cos tom yam is a ne'er to be missed in Thailand). Then i felt miserably cold, and itchy on my neck. Mum said i might b having "hong mo" or sth. dno wads tt, but it's said ot be some kinda fever when one goes in and out of 2 drastically extreme temperature. I kinda agree on tt too. But then, it cld b some allergies or sth i wasnt aware of. Neway it worsened, cos we went to the "Four-faced Buddha" and i felt like fainting. Mom made me drink this HORRIBLE apple juice, followed by carrot juice. eee-yuck. i went back to the hotel wif my parents ( cos of me, dey missed out on steam boat n massage... *guilty*). my condition worsened at night, wif horrible looking rash poking out of my face, tt Aunt Jo had to call a doctor over. tt doc took 1 look at me and shook his head. He gave me a jab on my butt, and gave a list of instructions to my parents. den he charged us a hefty 4000 baht (~ SGD 200). eeew. but i felt better the next day. tho i cant eat aniting cept for fruits. i ate KFC on the return trip, as well as the meal provided on the plane (the ride was horrible on both landings...itai~). i kinda regret tt now, cos im itching mad... the anti itch cream doesnt seem to b working too... geesh... this sux.
Thank goodness now is holiday. Can recuperate... *phew*
